Camp Minnie-Mickey has closed forever at Disney's Animal Kingdom park. We met with some of the characters at this section of the park today, including a special appearance by Governor Ratcliffe! He even gives us a hint as to where the gold is.

In Mousesteps Weekly #83, we talk about:

Disney's Fort Wilderness Golf Cart Parade, which is a tradition for us on Christmas Eve! Some of our favorite carts include a Tangled themed golf cart, a gingerbread house cart, and a cart with a large Rudolph sitting high!

We visit with Santa Claus and Donald Duck, before dining at Trail's End Restaurant.

After dinner, we walked around the campground, checking out the Christmas decorations!

On another night, we went to the Winter Wonderland event at the Rosen Shingle Creek. The big draw was the Rosen Reindeer for us!

We enjoyed one of the last nights of Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa. This is the second year of the event, and it was a lot of fun! We don't get to see snow too often, so Snow World was a treat. The Crown Colony Restaurant was also open for dinner. Jeff also picked up a new Mold-A-Rama Christmas figure.

On New Year's Eve, we enjoyed dinner at Beach's & Cream - the restaurant now takes reservations, and we had our choice that day!

After dinner, we walked around World Showcase at Epcot. The crowd level was high, and we have some photos from New Year's Eve before we headed back out an hour or so later.

We watched the Epcot New Year's Eve fireworks from the bridge at the International Gateway, and then the Disney's Hollywood Studios fireworks from closer to Disney's Beach Club Resort.

Our first story of 2014 is the End Zone Food Court at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort re-opening! There is beautiful artwork decorating the food court after refurbishment.

In Mousesteps Weekly #85, we talk about:

We start with the contest winner of the Tinker Bell laser cel, thank you to all who entered! Our next contest should be next week.

Our first stop at Walt Disney World is Epcot's Spice Road Table, the newest table service restaurant in Morocco - it joins Restaurant Marrakesh. Spice Road Table specializes in small plates (with big taste). We check out the food and tour the restaurant.

During the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, we stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan in a Junior Alcove Suite. It offered wonderful views, including of Spaceship Earth, Illuminations and Wishes! The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels feature 5 pools including a grotto pool, along with 17 restaurants and lounges!

We celebrated Jeff's birthday again at Shula's American Steak House. We signed up for the Team Shula E-Club, which allowed for a free entree when we bought one. It was a great way to try the restaurant!

We stop by Give Kids the World as part of Marathon Weekend. Denise volunteered for an activity before the team dinner. Give Kids the World is undergoing an Extreme Village Makeover that lasts for 2 weeks! We will talk about that next week.

Last, we check out Denise's WDW Half Marathon. She ended up making it to 8 miles, missing out on continuing by about 90 seconds. Too many character stops (including Launchpad McQuack and Louis the Alligator) , but we raised $3200 for Give Kids the World! Thank you to everyone who donated. We look forward to finishing next year.

This is a daytime tour of the new restaurant (exterior, Inside and Outside Seating, Bar, etc), along with the food we enjoyed while dining.
