Gotta get this uploaded before I analyze it too much! Made this #beat in #FLStudio - using the #AkaiFire for lead. Having a lot of fun with the Fire because because it's NOT touch sensitive (I'm not used to that uniformity and it's freeing, and mixing it up is good). I'm using it in Note mode here set to play a particular scale. That's the other big reason I like this thing - those sales and just kinda drumming on it but finding some good notes and getting into a groove. I can drone away for a long time on the same loop. LOL

♫ Don't forget to check me out on Bandcamp! I'm a fan of streaming a lot of what I listen to, but these days especially, the best way to support any musician is still to buy their music. https://ronaldjenkees.bandcamp.com/

Thanks y'all!!!

PS. The Fire was sent to me from FL Studio (gift). They didn't ask me to make anything with it in return

PS. Timing on the fire: In this video, there's an LFO on that lead subtly cutting it off, or side-chaining. That helps the lead duck in and out a bit, turning the output audio into something more in-time with the beat (even though you can still hear imperfections, they're more subtle using this trick). Totally recommend trying that to really get you flowing in case you want some help with timing and you're playing lots of notes.

🎤 “Cult Shϕtta - No Rulez Ft. Selasie” Lyrics:

HOOK
Run around like 2006
Back when Drew aint never been kissed
Back when we aint never had .. shit
Back when we aint had no

No rules x 8

VERSE ( CULT SHOTTA)
Man I seen things
Make you think I was a genie
Make you think I had it easy
Had to do it for my Chi-Chi
Yellow boy like the gini’
Give a fuck about a car
As long as my breda are lit & my misso is filling the void in my heart
Yeah, now I gotta hit it big
Cos’ I aint like the way I live
Eyes bloodshot like a crip
Federales outside the crib
Know that we into some shit
& I aint tryna do a bid
This aint an auction, I aint built for this shit
Wow nelly
Aint seen shit yet like Bochelli
Gotta run that shit like Odell
Yeh, go get it, go get it, go get it, go

HOOK
Run around like 2006
Back when Drew aint never been kissed
Back when we aint never had .. shit
Back when we aint had no

No rules x 8

VERSE (SELASIE)
I said no, no, no rules
When I used to have to carry tools
City niggas you were still in school
Teacher wouldn’t let me out the room
Fake smiles its to bright like veneers
Had them piercing on my thoughts, get over here
I said I’m living like a sinner
I’m stuntin on these niggas
Took a loan just to spend it
Can’t walk away its never ending

No rules x 6
